In addition to the films we present as part of the festival proper, many additional programs are available to festival-goers.

Book Signings

In recent years, book signings have taken place during lunch breaks. Featured authors have included Laura Jerrolds, author of Laura LaPlante: Silent Cinderella, and Rob Farr, author of Presenting Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Drew.

Presentations

Lunch breaks might also offer presentations by film preservationists, historians, or authors. In 2026, for example, the Capitol collaborated with the George Eastman Museum to host a discussion on the roles staff play in the museum’s Moving Image Department.
